2/11 Co-Conferencing 17:00 – 18:00 Foundations supporting and mainstreaming inclusion, co-hosted by the EFC Throughout 2020, foundations have been challenged on multiple fronts: from changing their grant-making practices, to augment their flexibility, they have replied to unprecedent needs arising, and sustained the collective effort to fight COVID 19. This session, co-hosted by the European Foundation Centre, will look at four projects carried out – or funded – by foundations, that aim at supporting and creating more employment opportunities for people with disabilities and mainstream a disability inclusive approach. The session will also touch upon the importance that networks have into exchange ideas, generate evidence, and promote collaboration. International Sign Language
2/11 Highlight 18:00 – 19:00 Watching and discussing the TV-Documentary: “Seeing AI”, featuring Amy Dixon Seeing AI is a Microsoft research project (and a Zero Project Awardee 2021) that brings together the power of the cloud and AI to deliver an intelligent app designed to help you navigate your day. Point your phone’s camera, select a channel, and hear a description of what the AI has recognized around you. This TV-documentary features Amy Dixon, a blind athlete, speaker and advocate, testing and using “Seeing AI” for the first time. After airing the documentary for the first time, Jeremy Snyder, CEO of TFA Group, the producer of the video and Amy Dixon, will discuss their experience.
