HOW TO REGISTER FOR THE CONFERENCE

Filling in the Registration Form

In order to be granted access to the Zero Project conference venue, all participants (including accompanying staff and relatives) are required to fill in the Zero Project Conference registration form.

Separate registration with the UN Vienna necessary

The deadline for receipt of the completed registration form is 17:00 CET on Friday, February 8th, 2019. Thereafter the list of registered participants will be sent to UNOV by the Zero Project. Please be aware that shortly before the conference, UNOV will send an email to all registered participants directly to you with a link to upload a picture to be inserted in the personal UN access badge. Please check your junk folder regularly in case it has been sent there. If you have not received this email by Monday, February 18th, 2019 please contact office@zeroproject.org.

Where to enter the UN building

In order to receive your physical UN access badge, every participant (including personal assistants, staff, children and other relatives, etc.) has to go to Gate 1, pass the security check and then go to United Nations Office located immediately behind the security check. You are able to collect your UN access badge from Monday 18th of February 2019 onwards. Gate 1 will be open from 8 am to 4 pm from Monday, February 18th all week. Please bring your passport or identification document along. Please note that this process can take quite some time (about 30-45 minutes) due to the large number of participants.

The UN access badge grants you access to the premises of the Vienna International Center for the full three days of the Zero Project Conference, from the 20 to 22 February 2019. Please note that wearing the badge is obligatory at all times. If you lose your badge, please contact the UN registration desk immediately.

Registration for the Zero Project Conference 2019

Upon arrival, all conference participants are requested to go straight to the Zero Project welcome desk, which is situated at the entrance of the M-Building. You will receive your Zero Project Conference 2019 name tag and welcome bag. Staff at the registration desk will assist you with any requests that you might have, for the whole duration of the Conference.

Orientation at the Conference Venue

Map of the conference venue and surroundingsAfter passing through the Security Check (and collecting your UN access badge when coming for the first time and leaving the entrance building, the M Building is located on the left side of the square. You can reach the M building by following the indicated path shown below.

The Info Point/Welcome Desk will be located directly on the left side of the entrance of the M Building. The wardrobe can be found behind the escalators.

Accessible elevators are across from the registration desk which bring you to the first floor where most of the conference rooms are located. Accessible restrooms are behind the elevators, next to the wardrobe.

Once inside the M Building, tactile flooring will aid navigation for people who are blind or visually impaired. Volunteers will also be available to help with orientation.

All three conference rooms are on floor one of the M-Building. When you enter the first floor by using the escalator or stairs, you will find an exhibition area directly on your right side. The entrance to the conference room M2 and the main plenary room M1 are on the same side and next to the exhibition area. The third conference room M3 is also on the same floor, but entry is on another corridor.

Two accessible restrooms can be found next to the conference rooms on the same floor. Please follow the indications shown below.
