From the airport to the VIC by bus
To arrive from Vienna Airport (“Flughafen Wien”, “Flughafen Wien-Schwechat”) at the Vienna International Centre (“Wien Kaisermühlen VIC”) it is easiest to take a bus (line “Postbus 1183”) that runs every hour. For the bus timetable please click here!
Also the conference hotels Arcotel Kaiserwasser**** Wagramer Straße 8, 1220 Wien, and Park Inn by Radisson Uno City Vienna****| Wagramer Strasse 16-18 | 1220 Wien are within walking distance of the bus.
Tickets can be bought directly on the bus. A one-way-ticket is 8 Euro and a return ticket is 13 Euro. The duration of the journey is 40 minutes. Attention! The last bus leaves the airport to VIC at 8:10 p.m. and the last bus from VIC to the airport at 7:10 p.m.
From Vienna Airport to other destinations in Vienna by bus
The buses of the Vienna Airport Lines connect Vienna Airport with other main Vienna transport hubs and the city centre. The three Vienna Airport Lines routes serve all of Vienna’s underground railway lines and also “Hauptbahnhof”, “Wien Westbahnhof” and “Wien Meidling” railway stations. Buses to the city centre (Morzinplatz/Schwedenplatz) run 24 hours a day, with a journey time of just 20 minutes.
From Vienna Airport to the VIC by train
The S-Bahn is the cheapest way of travelling from Vienna Airport the Vienna city center and back. The line “S7” takes 25 minutes to reach “Wien Mitte” from the airport. A ticket costs from 4.40 Euro (to/from Vienna, including travel on the entire Vienna public transport network). Ticket machines can be found on the platforms at the airport and all stations. The closest station to the VIC is “Wien-Praterstern” which is connect directly by the Underground-line U1 to the VIC (3 stations, also a taxi from Wien-Praterstern to the VIC will cost less than 10 Euro.

There is also a high-speed train connection from Vienna-Airport to the city (station “Wien Mitte”, called the City Airport Train (CAT). It takes only 16 minutes nonstop from “Wien Mitte” to Vienna Airport and back. The CAT operates daily from 05.36 a.m. to 23.36 p.m. The price of a single ticket is 11 Euro, for a return ticket 19 Euro. Tickets can already be bought at machines or at a counter in the Arrival Hall.
From the main railway stations to the VIC by Underground or train
The fastest way from Vienna’s main railway station “Hauptbahnhof” (with trains arriving from Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Poland, Czech Republic etc.) is using the Underground line U1. Enter the U1 at the main station’s stop “Südtirolerplatz/Hauptbahnhof”, which is in the same building as the main station, and go to “Kaisermühlen/Vienna International Centre”.

From the U1-Station “Kaisermühlen/Vienna International Centre” to the VIC
After arrival at the station, follow the signs for exit “Vienna International Centre”.

Wheelchair users have to use a different exit should follow the signs for “Donau-City-Straße” and take the elevator downstairs. After exiting the station, turn left and take the path alongside the station building.
Getting around in Vienna using the Underground, Buses and Trams
The Underground system is the quickest and most comfortable as well as accessible means of public transport to move around in the city. Information on ticketing and prices can be found here.
Short-time passes or single tickets are recommended. The price of a day-ticket is 5,80 Euro (if it is “1 Day Vienna, there is also “24 hours-Vienna” for 8 Euro), the price of single-trip ticket is 2,40 Euro. After registration, tickets can also be bought online in advance here. Trips can be planned using Google Maps or here.

From the Vienna Airport to the VIC by taxi or Uber
When taking a taxi, the destination is “Vienna International Centre” or “UNO-City”, Taxi drivers should advised to stop in the side-lane (Nebenfahrbahn) of Wagramer Strasse next to the VIC. From there look for the sign “Gate 1”.
The price of a taxi to the airport will be between 30 and 35 Euro if you pre-order in advance (more than 50 Euro if just take a taxi at the Vienna Airport!). Uber is also operating in Vienna, the price is normally between 25 and 35 Euro.

Accessible Shuttle service on individual request
Zero Project provides accessible transport services to participants with mobility problems from/to the airport. Please indicate your request during your online registration process. In case you have not done so and you need such assistance, please contact Ms Eva Maikisch at: email@example.com. The shuttle service will pick those requested participants up at the airport and bring them to their hotels and back to the airport from the hotel or conference venue after the conference has ended.
Please be aware that the pickup time at the VIC is 3 hours before your flight departure. When leaving for Vienna Airport directly from the VIC, luggage has to be brought to the VIC already, and not stored at the hotel.
Other shuttle services required during the stay

Arriving at the VIC by car or car-sharing
There are no parking facilities for conference participants within the VIC, except for Permanent Mission delegates in possession of a valid VIC parking permit (Gate 2 is open from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Gate 4 is open 24 hours).
Other participants have to park their car on Wagramer Strasse or in public parking garages at the car-owners expense.
Parking space is normally available on Wagramer Strasse, but the whole area is a short-term parking zone which has to be paid with prepaid tickets (available in stores and tobacconists) or via the App “HANDY Parken”. Costs are 2,10 Euro per hour, the maximum parking time is three hours!
There are several parking garages in walking distance (www.parkeninwien.at/), with a price range of 2,80 to 3,50 euros per hour.
For cheaper parking we recommend using one of the park-and-ride facilities that are located next to U1 or other underground lines (www.parkandride.at/Standorte.html).
For registered users of the car-sharing services DriveNow and Car4You, these services are also available in Vienna.
